Making it Myself

You followers with little ones, have you ever seen those yogurt melts they sell in stores? They are so expensive! I've never bought them, but I don't think you get that many for the money you pay for these.

I found a super easy recipe to make my own! Ok, get a piece of paper, because it's a lot to take in: drop some yogurt on a cookie tray (I used a silicone mat) and freeze. After they are frozen (takes just a few hours), peel them off and put them in a baggie. That's it! Lars loves these!!!

I also love making banana splits (minus the ice cream). Sometimes it's too cold for ice cream (especially in the winter). I love using bananas (of course), pb, chocolate syrup, almonds and I would have loved to use maraschino cherries, but I'm out. I was very sad when I saw I was out. It was put on the list immediately.

Do you make your own kids' treats? What do you enjoy for dessert?

So much Love!

I love being a stay at home mom! Seeing this little man grow, change and learn every single day! I plan things to do every day and we also have a lot of laid back days where we just play whatever he wants to play.

I think this picture shows how much he truly loves me! I love how he comes up to me randomly throughout the day and plants a huge, wet kiss on me. Or how comes out of his room, so I will follow him back and play with him. Of course, he is the best little one year old out there. I wouldn't change my days for anything. I'm the luckiest woman out there!! I have the 2 perfect valentines!!

Hope you guys had a good Valentine's Day. What did you do?

There's a First Time for Everything

I always have toe nail polish on. My big toe has been giving me a lot of pain and I have no idea why. When I finally took off my nail polish I saw a lot of black and a lot of discoloration!

Since my nail polish stays (nearly) perfect for a couple months (I trim my nails with the polish on), I had no idea how bad it was. I finally took off the polish saw the black  and was concerned. I still had a little pain, but not like it was a month ago. When I started clipping my nails, half of my big toe nail come off!! This is the first time this has happened to me..

I tried painting my toes (ready for Valentine's Day), but the polish doesn't stick too great to the skin and has been slowly coming off.

When did you loose your first toe nail?

I finally did it!

It was finally warm enough (in the morning) to go running with Lars. I'm definitely a California runner. I would freeze if I had to run in the snow or somewhere super cold!! My legs were so happy to get some exercise and sun!

It was a lot easier than I was expecting, since I haven't run in too long. Lars is always happy when we run 1.5 miles and end up at the park (it's much closer, I just go the extremely long way). So, I end up making it a round trip of about 3 miles.

Don't let Lars' face fool you, he's actually really happy about being at the park.

He loves just running around and finding sticks and rocks to play with.

It hasn't been warm enough since, but it's suppose to be in the 70's by the end of the week.  Can't wait!! Hey, who knows, I may be able to get in a few runs this week/weekend!!

How many times a week do you run? How far do you run when you do?
